One of my favourite events every year is Wonderwool at the Builth Wells Showground (in Powys, Wales) It is just before my birthday so I usually have some early spending money and I have been most years since 2011 and I love it! It is full of every kind of wool, fibre and thread craft and going round is a a feast for the eyes and so inspiring! Every year I come home with a bag full of goodies and this is my haul from this year!
Some more wool to make my blanket from last year ... Sweet felt shapes to decorate and maybe make a garland with and some pre-holed thick felt to make a glasses case with. I'm not sure how I am going to decorate it yet, but I need to dig out my needle felt bits. These are from Joe's Toes and they also have felt pieces for making your own slippers.
I found a shade card for when I do my temperature embroidery journal next year and from Laurette Crafts, a cute little magnet box for keeping my needles safe on my desk, I am always losing them! Lucy The Tudor had beautiful hand carved goodies including beautiful needles and pins she had made, I so wanted to get some but they were large and I didn't really have a use for one. I treat myself to one of her hand carved, hand held looms and a 'lucet' knitting fork. I had a play with it yesterday morning and although not perfectly neat yet, I was pleased with the result ... I am thinking of getting some to sell, what do you think?
I can't wait to have a proper go and play with all I bought! Have you been? I can not recommend it enough, but you do need to wrap up warm, it is always very cold!
